Here we have our old and much loved caravan. We bought it cheap around 12 years ago and it has spent pretty much all of that time parked up on a farm in West Wales.The caravan is now completely knackered and it is time for it to go. This is not the van for you if you want to take up caravanning but is more likely a candidate for breaking, turning into a site office/rest area or even a chicken coop or trailer!Good points:It actually tows quite wellTowing electrics all workingGalvanised chassis is solidTyres hold pressureUpholstery is intact and relatively free of blemishes (for it’s age)The fridge worksThe oven and hob workNone of the windows are brokenHeater worksBad points:Everything else! For example:Water heater no longer works (gas heater is missing, electric heater died last year)Floor is soft and springyWater ingress has affected the rear structureKitchen tap is cracked (tape is pretty effective at stopping it leaking though)Too much to list really. The toilet works but the level indicator of the waste tank no longer works and the cartridge can leak if you are not careful when emptying it. Visible signs of damp inside although it is comfortably dry. The fridge door seal has perished at the top but the fridge stays very cold.Incredibly, most of the pictures here are rather flattering. We have just cleaned the inside so it isn’t too horrible though. There is a mains hook up cable, fresh water barrel and waste water container…
