An old caravan, I think it is around a 1991 model. It is not serviced or damp
checked. This caravan has had
issues with water ingress in the past, but it seems to be water tight at the
present, apart from the roof light in the rear which has blown away in recent
winds. I have covered this over with some wood to keep the water out for
now.I bought this caravan to maybe use with
the family a few years ago. I paid over the odds for it, and when I got
it
home I found it had lots of damp. I had it resealed externally, the
kitchen wall around the door to the back replaced with new
panel wood, wood frame and insulation fitted. I also had the floor repaired near
the
door. I put it into storage and sadly lost interest and frankly forgot about it. I had a
call saying the roof vent has blown away and that’s prompted me to
finally sell it. I do not know much about the caravan i.e. what works and what
does not. When I first got it, I tested the fridge, fire and cooker, they
all worked then but it has been sat doing nothing for around 2 years since. It is
certainly not something you will just hitch up and go away in, but I
would think a new roof light, battery and some gas will be
good enough to be able to take it…
