Believe that the caravan dates from 1990 or earlier. The
underneath is very sound even if the interior is dated and needs some repair. Have
not been able to connect up either mains electricity or 12v but there are signs
that the mains electricity system was professionally installed (including safety
circuit breaker). The 12v system appears to have been installed likewise and
the water system is wired with electric pressure pumps. The 12 v system is dual
plug.
There are general wear and tear marks all round and the main
problems needing repair are one window where the wooden framing inside the
inner and outer skin has gone rotten. Once that is renewed, the rubber window
gasket needs re-fixing and with a lock and stay. The headlining also needs some
work in the area of the cooker/sink.
The good points are that gas is connected. Can’t speak as a
gas engineer or safety consultant but the oven (Flavell Vanessa) and double
burner hotplate with grill (Leisure Princess) all work and burn with a blue
flame. The fridge (Electrolux 212B) lights and burns blue and the sparking
system ignites as it should. The fridge will also work on 12v or mains but have not been able to test either of those two.
There is a gas heater (Carver Trumatic SB 1800) which also
lights by its own ignition system.
Obviously if you are interested in the fittings, someone
competent should give them a check over. Have used common sense in lighting up
and observing but not able to give any warranty about the gas system….
