This is our lovely sprite caravan.
We have used it for a home office/escape and the plan was to spend time renovating it bringing it back to its former glory.
But now I have to admit I just don’t have the time to complete it and give it the full attention it deserves.
Inside my wife has carried out some extensive work on the interior. The van was leaking from the sky light so I removed the ceiling and the wall to the toilet area and replaced all the wood frame which was rotten. Put back the insulation and boarded with new board, sealed the sky light. I hoped this would stop the leaks but after the recent rain there is still evidence of damp in the toilet area, I think the outside needs to be resealed on the front corner, not a difficult job, I just don’t have time.
The chassis looks to be in good condition for what I believe is a 1967 van. I have got the tow hitch working so it could be towed, some lights work but there is no number plate light so a lighting board would be needed. I will see if I can get the rest of the lights working, I think it just needs bulbs but cant be sure.
I dont have a key to lock the door, the jockey wheel needs to be replaced. The van was repainted by the previous owner.
There is a gas hob and 240V electrics though I have not checked…
