This Sprite Alpine four berth caravan was purchased in 1969 and gave our family a lot of really great holidays. It has obviously seen much better days but amazingly it’s still water tight and was used for storage as it stood in a large rear garden. Inside it has all the original fittings, sink, two ring gas range, overhead lockers, wardrobe, toilet with Elsan WC, gas fridge, locking draws for cutlery etc. and cupboards with plate cut outs, 2 gas mantle lamps with glass covers. It’s not bad for 50 years old, but it’s obviously being sold as a renovation project, there’s no way it could be used as is…. it was parked up over 30 years ago and everything worked when it was towed into its resting place, brakes, lights, tyres etc. but now all those would need a complete renovation. Covered in algae now but it’s made of aluminum and would clean up nicely again with a pressure wash. The buyer will need to remove it from site by arrangement and tow it out, it needs to go on a trailer initially as the tyres are perished and mechanically it’s not currently roadworthy. If you love period caravans then you’d enjoy this one, it’s full of wonderful memories but it has to go as house is being sold.
