On 30-Jun-22 at 08:06:00 BST, seller added the following information:Some more info: ‘Mabel’ ( it came with the name)was bought in 2017 as a result of an ebay ad. It was fairy local so a viewing followed and we just fell in love with it, we could just see it behind our VW camper. A deal was done for £3000 but at the time we didn’t even have a towbar, so a local caravan specialist collected it and gave it an in depth examination. He pronounced terminal rust on the chassis but said it was fixable. We decided to bite the bullet and gave him the go ahead to make it safe for many more years of touring. As well as the new galvanised chassis, brakes, shock absorbers, new ( old stock) tow hitch , totally new gas pipework to modern standards, he fitted 13 pin trailer lighting (currently fitted with a 7 pin adapter for my 7 pin socket). A new plastic rooflight was specially made in a light tint, to replace the old orange one which made the interior glow with a strange hue! The bill for this restoration came to more than the purchase price ( over 3.5k) so Mabel has over 6.5k invested in her . When we got her home I started to do ‘ cosmetic ‘ jobs, fitting a leisure battery, a 12v submersible water pump, a couple of reading…
