Here is my early 80s retro caravan. I fully restored this a couple of years ago lifting the entire body off the chassis as one unit and removing all the rotten wood from round the bottom half of the walls. The entire floor has been replaced and the chassis was ground back to bare metal a new A frame custom built and the whole lot was sent off to be galvanised. The bed. The bed is a fixed 6″6 long x 5″ so it takes a standard king size mattress . There is no mattress supplied as the one we had in there was so nice and very expensive we have now got it in our house , and we assume no one wants a second hand mattress (I know I wouldn’t ) Cooker and sink. It has a small cooker and sink, 1 single burner hooked up to gas. The water to the sink is pumped by a foot pump and is fully plumbed in with clean and waste water.Chairs and table. The seat/dinning area is all fixed its a good size and two adults can comfortably sit and chill out.Space. I made this trying to keep it as spacious as posable too many caravans are a squeeze for 2 adults trying to move around each other. Storage. There is lots of storage under the bed and under the sink and in the baskets under the chairs. and there is a cupboard on the wall opposite the sink…
