A great little classic caravan – a 1985 Sprite 400. Not many left of 400 made in 1985.”The Sprite 400 was designed to be towed by smaller family cars such as the Volkswagen Beetle. Originally launched in 1960 it went through several incarnations until being withdrawn in 1976 but made a brief reappearance in 1985″I bought it 5 years ago and towed it up from Devon to Nottingham and it towed perfect – it has good tyres and electrics (when last checked). It has been used as a summer house since in our holiday let Buxton – see photos. It has a leak on each side of the front which I have mainly cured by resealing the corner beading with good quality sealant but it is still damp along the bottom edge – it is not as bad as it looks in the photos most of the discolouring has dried out – its just along the bottom that is still damp. I painted the front panel (only) with a magnolia colour paint as it matched pretty well but…
