Welcome to our auction of ‘Maggy’, a 1983 (we believe) Sprite Musketeer 5 berth caravan. We bought Maggy 7 years ago and renovated her interior. The fabric on the front benches/bed and front curtains are due an update and are showing 7 years of wear but the upholstery on the back bench/bunks is still good having been constantly covered. The bottom bunk pulls out to make small double, with the bunk and front double, you can sleep 5. We stripped the ‘bathroom’ and created a sink unit, which we’ve sunk a sink in, and built useful shelves. We have a bucket toilet which we’ll happily provide. We have wall papered the room to make it more interesting! We have put vinyl tiles on the floor of the van, a couple could do with replacing but on the whole they are holding up well. Maggy is dry, we had a leak a few years ago but this was sealed up and we’ve had nothing since. It has caused some crinkling of the wood on one of the cupboards. There are other bows and scratches and dents inside and out, she’s over 35 years old and is not perfect, you would be buying 36 years of experience and history! Saying that Maggy is in full working order, the gas hob and grill work, the gas fire works, we installed a frost watch electric heater which is ideal in the winter.
