1947 Streamlite Rover, built by Sam Alper, as a forerunner of the Sprite range. One of only 15 originally built and thought to be the only remaining one. Built with items from World War II, including landing wheels from a Spitfire airplane. The walls are made of Holoplast – a double skinned honeycombed plastic made for building post war housing – so no rusting!!  The roof, which pops up and tilts is built from a barrage balloon and the interior wood is fossilised oak dragged from the Lincolnshire Fens – it is a fantastic piece of history.  It contains the original sink and gas cooker too.Based in Herefordshire (not Hertfordshire) near to the Welsh Border.
