Only 110 Titan with the famous Z-axle were made between 1966 and 1976 and this is one of only 10 survivors, so this is a rare opportunity to acquire the biggest model of Eriba caravan ever made. In size it is similar to an Airstream, but it’s built is very light and thanks to the Z-axle tows beautifully even at high speeds without snaking (official German V5 document speed limit for the Titan is 100 km/h, that’s 63 mph). Unique among Eriba Touring Caravans, the Titan has full standing height even before you pop-up the roof. With 1200 kg Gross Weight it can be towed comfortably with anything that provides around 120 bhp, we’ve used both Mercedes 123 and 124 Series for this and it’s a great drive.Work is needed on the steel tube frame in the lower, outer part of the rear end and lower, outer part of the left hand side / nearside. Main chassis and outriggers are solid. Though the Z-axle itself was replaced in 2013 with a brand new one built to the original specification by the successors of the original manufacturers, there is an issue with the brakes binding when reversing, so that needs attention. The jockey wheel could do with an update as well as the lighting/electrical system. Interior is ok, but not original, the front seats have been replaced by a fixed double bed frame with a foam mattress. Side access and front windows are not original. Interior wooden bits…
