Opportunity To Buy a Funky Eriba Touring Van without breaking the bank!£8,000 is around the price asked for this type of Eriba when in its usual near-perfect condition. Sadly, Erica (obvious name, but hey..) was significantly damaged in an accident on a fast dual carriageway near Rennes.We had lived in France for about 10 years and bought this continental Eriba in Holland. Hence the mains sockets are French style. We just changed plugs and used extensions with plugs, adaptors and sockets to suit. These remain in the sale.The Rennes accident happened in July 2010 as we were moving back to the UK. Erica was damaged mainly on one side – she went over onto her right side after a tyre burst when we hit debris on the road. The locals were brilliant helping us sort things and we brought Erica back to the UK after checking the chassis alignment and replacing the damaged Alco towing hitch.Our French Insurance accessed from the UK proved very difficult so that the limited insurance we’d bought – 3rd party and glass only – never came through. We’ve repaired things so that they work, added a rain guard around the roof gutter to give us a dry, working, serviced and fully usable Eriba 2 Berth (3 with dog). Since the accident we lived in Erica for 3 months while sorting UK housing, used her for trips in the UK and made extended visits back…
