At over 60yrs old, this 1961 Eriba is a true vintage. As I understand it, the Faun and very early Pans (which pre-date the Puck) were based on the same chassis and were German made before the company merged and moved to France.There is a double bed in the usual place and also a third bed or large comfy day seat (if you don’t want to put the double bed away) at the other end. Having this flexibility was the main reason we bought this van (previously had a Puck). The other reason was the awning which is a brilliant addition and pretty much doubles the overall floorspace. The awning might be 60’s or possibly 70’s, either way it looks the retro part, is in excellent condition and is made for the van. Also very simple to put up and super rare (I’ve not seen another).The caravan has been tastefully renovated (before our ownership) in recent years with new interior panelling, which is insulated behind. Thankfully most of the original cabinetry has been retained, including the cooker/sink unit and overhead storage. Other works were probably done at renovation, such as electric hook-up, 12v and 240v lights, a few plug sockets, 240v beer fridge and new flooring to the rear. Underneath, the floor is in very good shape, as is the box frame chassis which, along with the axle, has recently been waxoyl’d (the van can be jacked up for inspection under).
