The caravan was professionally adapted from a 6 berth to a 4 berth ‘van to allow for the enlarged wet room bathroom. It has a widened door and comes with ramps for access. The front section remains the same – large seating area which converts into a large double bed. The rear was completely stripped out and the wet room installed. The bathroom wall opens out to create a large space with a shower, toilet and basin. Parking the caravan on a slight tilt (can use wedges) allows the water to easily drain into the floor drains. The rear bed area has a rail hoist going from above the bed over to the bathroom. The hoist unit itself is not tested – we never used it, we put it in thinking it would be needed in future but avoided the need. I have put it on charge and it worked briefly so I assume a new battery will be needed in the hoist unit. It’s a Wispa Lite if you want to look it up. A second bunk is built across the back of the caravan, above a clothing storage area and shelving. The carpet was removed and replaced with a hard wearing grippy vinyl which is great for wheelchair tyres and also easily cleaned. The kitchen remains the same with a fridge (only used on mains, never tried the gas), sink, oven and hob. There is also a TV/DVD player, but the DVD stopped working a year or 2…
