Typhoon Elddis XL, 4 berth touring caravan. We bought this caravan and realised it had damp and so literally stripped it back, removing all the front end of the van and damp proofing it. We replaced window seals, painted the inside, Spray painted the doors cream apart from the sink and cooker area – didn’t get around to this.We took the kids convertible beds/dining area out also and replaced with fixed beds – the kids have loved this. Eating outside for us was more important.The hob does not work and the gas pipe work would need reinstating.We intended to buy a sofa bed for the main seating area but didn’t get around to this, (intending to give us space and a different feel to the caravan than your traditional layout).Me and my husband have been using a blow up bed which was actually really cosy.Getting creative and making this van your own is still possible. I always fancied a proper bed in there.This caravan is suitable for someone who wants a bit of a project and not your normal caravan. We have done a lot to it but it does still need more doing as mentioned.Despite it being unfinished we have had many family breaks in it and loved it.
