ELDDIS WISP 400/4 – 4-BERTH CARAVANThis is a ‘project’, a cheap option for someone with the right skills to fix, or perfect for someone who wants a caravan shell wanting to gut the interior for some other purpose (mobile festival pizza stall anyone???)Brief history…… Bought it a few years ago, used it for many trips out for holidays/festivals/etc,. Last couple of years have advertised it on Airbnb for some lucrative bookings (see the spanky photos in the listing below!) though less so last winter.airbub listingCouple of months ago I noticed there had been some water ingress over the winter causing damp rot to internal woodwork. Started pulling out some rotten bits, which pulled out some more…. it all started coming away in my hands, revealing more damage than expected. So basically most of the internal woodwork of the front end was rotten. I cancelled the Airbnb listing, but took it out last weekend myself for a festival (so it’s still fully useable/mobile.) Whilst driving down the motorway the air clearly got under the front window and started peeling back the roof…….. (see photos.) Best not to take it our and inflict more potential damage! Time to give it a new home :-).
