Here we have a 2 berth Elddis touring caravan in need of some TLC, offered as a spares or repair project. I believe the model to be a 1987 Elddis GTX Mistral. The caravan had been parked for some time in our storage compound; at some point the skylight cracked and it consequently suffered from moisture ingress / dampness. Some of the internal surfaces have suffered, the worst of this seems to have concentrated in the front corners under the cushions as can be seen in the photos. I’ve made a temporary repair of the leaking skylight and the caravan is now totally dry. The state of play is:It rolls freely on its wheels. The jockey wheel, tow hitch and handbrake are all working.The chassis looks to be in good order. The thread on one of the leg nuts is stripped.Both tyres are holding pressure (one is the unused spare) but all 3 tyres will be in need of replacement.The road lights have been tested – one rear light is out, the indicators and brake lights are all working ok.On hook-up the 240v sockets are live but not the 12v internal electrics.The upholstery cushions are in reasonably good condition.Small Calor gas bottle present, but the gas systems have not been tested.Shower and cassette…
