Caravan was purchased new in September 2000.
Most items that may need attention have been covered in the
‘Condition description’ section but please note that the charger/power supply (Zig X7),
does not always start up, but it works perfectly if all 12V loads are switched
off when the hookup is connected, and then lights etc are switched on. May be
easy to fix, certainly easy to replace as it’s a stand alone unit. Only discovered recently as we always go ‘off
grid’ so the X7 is not used in that case.
The fixed bed is a 4ft John Lewis
sprung mattress which sits on slats, providing a comfortable double bed which
can be left made up. This was installed after removing the bunk beds, dinette
arrangement and heavy wooden sliding doors, as a result the caravan is now
overall about 5kg lighter at the rear end, and at the same time has a lower
centre of gravity, thus making it noticeably more stable to tow, a useful added
benefit.
The sliding door guide rail
mounted on the ceiling could be easily replaced with a curtain rail and curtain
for privacy if
needed.
