Elddis touring caravan, four berth, 1989.
I bought this caravan about three years ago, glamped up the interior
with a view to having holidays with our boys, who then promptly grew into enormous teenagers making it unusable for us. I now use it for a bit of peace to
enjoy a book.
It is clean and tidy with a nice lay out. It feels very spacious
and bright given its actual size, and it was light to pull behind our camper
van. I liked it’s slightly vintage look but with sufficient modern comfort. A good compromise.
It has a shower, but the heat pump needs replacing for it to
work. It has a chemical toilet. The gas cooker works well, and the electrics
work. The fridge works. We have never used the inbuilt fire as the blow heater is
very effective.
There was some damp in the right-hand corner after a year
without the cover in torrential rain. You can see the damage in the photograph.
The caravan does come with a cover, as seen in the photo, and the new owners should
certainly use it more than we did.
It comes with cushions, covers, cutlery and a few basics, but
not the black rug.
