I bought this caravan new in 2001, so it is 22 years old. It has served us very well, but it is now old and worn and needs work plenty of work to bring it back to a good standard. We have used it regularly until recently. (We had seven trips away in it in 2022, but other commitments and ill health have meant that we have only used it twice this year, with trips to Mid Wales and Snowdonia).There are a number of faults.To my mind the worst is that the battery box locker lid broke off last year. We were out in the very cold weather just before Christmas, and the locker had frozen shut. I used too much force and it broke off. I still have it if you can find a way to reattach it. There was a water leak at the front, above the window. I have sealed this, but see pictures for the internal effect. There is no other obvious serious damage elsewhere, but it would be worth checking for damp and sealing where necessary.The water heater works on electricity but not on gas. This is for safety reasons.The same with the fridge, it works on electricity but not on gas. It seems to cool a little less than it did – not worth keeping ice cream in it on a very hot day. On our last trip the on off switch broke, but fortunately…
