For Sale I have a 2003 Bailey Pageant Auvergne that was purchased in September 2023 by myself as a ‘Starter Caravan’. Idea being that this would be used for a year or two to get used to the idea of using a caravan (I’ve only ever been a camping kinda guy…..but I’m getting older and my back doesn’t thank me for sleeping on the cold, hard ground!!) and then look at purchasing something newer that better suited my requirements.It was bought as untested and effectively sold as seen…….having had a full habitation check carried out this week, it has been deemed as unsafe with damp and appliance issues. Somewhat annoying given that I went out and spent £300 on a cover to keep it dry, when it was damp anyway!!!Overall, the appearance isn’t bad at all, a few dents and scrapes as would be expected with a 20 year old vehicle…..but it could be a lot worse.The structure/damp issue is where this suffers most. Everything else is superficial in retrospect. The engineer noted that there had been a previous repair to the roof and evidence of cracking/split to the OSR section of the roof, that has resulted in quite bad damp within the roof itself.I have attached a copy of the report for reference showing damp results and other observations notedThe caravan will come with a couple of awnings and the wheel brace as seen in the photos.
