This Baily Maison 18 ft x 8ft single axle caravan is a lovely old thing- and is a great part of our UK caravaning heritage .I purchased it about three years ago , mainly because I used to go on holiday with my mum and dad in one when I was a kid. I’m 60 this year , so those days are long gone ……..I shared photos of the caravan with Bailey caravans and they have told me that it’s a 1969 Bailey Maison. They also kindly sent me manufacturers spec/details/brochure information, which is an interesting read.I’ve not seen any other Bailey Maisons, and so I think it is probably one of the last servicable ones left on the road.I would describe the condition as nice , and usable , if perhaps a little scruffy round the edges , and it has not been restored , so don’t expect perfection . This is a caravan to be used and enjoyed as a unique vintage thing .If you wanted to go to town and restore it, I would have thought that it would form a good basis for this , or for you to put your own stamp on…
