We’re finally selling out much loved Avondale after fourteen years of ownership. Reason is with two kids now she’s just not big enough for our needs unfortunately. For a 1982 caravan she’s fairly well equipped with:Hot water systemCassette toiletShowerBathroom sinkLarge double bed at the front which could fit a family of three in (if your child doesn’t sleep in a star shape like ours!) or just two adults with lots of spaceHob with four burnersGrillOven Kitchen sinkShe was given an interior overhaul six years ago with the cushion covers being replaced by removable covers that are made with a really funky vintage deckchair fabric. The floor is now vinyl check. Kept the wood the original colour to retain the original character. Not much needs doing for a caravan this age, there’s been a bit of rot in the door and if we were keeping her we’d replace the ply. It’s a very minor job for a carpenter or easy for someone who knows their DIY. The jockey wheel tyre has a tear in and is completely deflated, so either the whole wheel needs replacing or just the inner tube, either way it’s not a huge cost. There’s a minor dent in the front aluminium at the bottom left, and the odd tiny ding in the bodywork, nothing serious though. We are based in Tenterden, Kent.
