PerleMeet Perle, a truly unique cavavan. She’s a 1991 Avondale, and has served me well for family holidays since I bought her in 2015, but she’ll not suit everyone. The great thing about caravans, unlike campers, is that they can be kept alive a long time by the average person’s DIY bodging skills, and Perle has certainly been subject to mine!Here are the plus points:1. She’s clean and dry inside and doesn’t smell.2. Stored outdoors for the last 5 years and hasn’t leaked inside in all that time3. She’s road-legal and tows absolutely fine4. Her brakes work5. I’ve replaced her original external electrics with a new trailer-board, so the brake lights and indicators work fine every time.6. Her fridge works on mains7. Her gas cooker and grill work8. All the internal lighting works on mains9. All the internal mains sockets work10. The floor inside the van itself is solid and dry.11. I’ve replaced the original carpets.12. She’ll protect you from the elements when tents are getting blown down around you.13. Fire extinguisher included
