2004 Avondale Argente 640-6 Caravan.
This has been a great family owned caravan for the last 12 years. The internal layout with an end bathroom and two fixed bunk beds it very versatile.
Unfortunately now the caravan is suffering from some damp and timber deterioration on the front around the main front window and on the back around the bathroom (although very little is visible as you can see from photos. I gather this is typical for this make and age of caravan.
We have been told that the repairs will cost in the order of £1,000 but I dont know if that is accurate and presumably if you are qualifed/experienced and able to do them yourself then it may be less. The report also notes that the fridge and the hot water do not currently work on gas (but are ok on electric) so this needs a repair.
On the surface the caravan is in very nice condition. It still has the plastic protection on the carpets and the upholstery is clean and tidy. There are a few minor dinks on the outside body work but nothing major.
We have the original manual and details/receipts for work/servicing since we bought it in 2006.
Clean models of this age sell for around £5,000+ so grab a bargain for the summer if you are happy to do the repairs.
We are selling as children have grown up and it is not used enough anymore.
