Superstar Caravan
Originally 5 berth, now has permanent double bed one end and
the put together super king the other end.
She is a 1990 Caravan, was my permanent home for over 8 years,
but now sadly living in bricks and mortar.
She is sat in my back garden and get used occasionally for
visitor stop overs (house to small) and we have stayed in her a few times
during lockdown.
The floor is quite spongy (have been for 6 or 7 years) more noticeable
since replaced the carpet with wood effect tiles, which don’t flex but break. Was
going to drop a 12mm ply floor in her and re carpet but never got round to it. For
first time a couple years ago had slight damp in rear corner, nothing serious (no
drips) just little damp and only when its hammering it down. Seems to stop and
start on occasions.
Shes old so has had several new water pumps fitted (toilet
and fresh water) used oil radiators in the winter to keep her warm and dry. She
is a big van so not for a novice to tow and quite heavy twin axle. Would need a
cheap (£20 – £39) battery charger (there’s several plug and forget chargers on
Amazon or ebay)
Everything works in her, flush cassette toilet, 12v and 240v
lighting, electric pump on taps. Some odd little quirks but more than happy to
go through if anybody interested
All the double glazed windows have managed somehow with her
not being lived in to…
