ABI Dawnstar 2 Berth caravan. 1991 ish. In useable condition, but could do with some DIY.
I have had it for 3 years, its last journey was from Nottingham to Edinburgh and back. I had no towing issues, however, there is an earth problem with the drivers side light cluster, as all lights flash when the indicators and brakes are used together. fine individually. There is no breakaway cable. 12v socket is badly damaged.
It had 2 new tyres last summer.
It has 3 mains sockets all working. 12v and mains lighting.
In the kitchen, it has mains & gas fridge, Oven, Grill & 4 gas rings. All work fine, but the oven door handle is brittle, I have tried to repair it, the oven works fine. The kitchen sink has a small leak on the waste pipe. The light over the sink doesn’t work & one of the cupboard doors needs repair
The bathroom shower/tap only works on cold water, no hot comes out even when the boiler has hot water available. The toilet is complete but doesn’t flush. can be used in an emergency, but I have never really used the bathroom, the toilet block on the site is always fine to use.
The age of the van means the TV aerial is an analogue one and as such doesn’t work with modern digital TV signal.
The windows all open and have the original locks, all but the front windows have blackout blinds and fly screens.
The cushions are all ok, one has split across…
