This is a tragic tale of a faithful and very loved and enjoyed caravan… But on our last trip this summer – the dreaded Blowout at 50mph! The tyre stripped, tore off the trim, and damaged the wheel arch (shown in the pics). This is a fully equipped tourer with a full awning included. She is getting on but would still probably make a great Site Van or even with a little work could happily sit on a seasonal site. That said it towed perfectly fine for the 100 mile journey back home (after the spare was put on)so could still tour if required.This is an old van that has a few spongy spots in the floor but nothing terrible.The fridge was working perfectly until the last trip when it decided to only work on the gas (could be a small fault but at this point I am not inclined to investigate after my blowout scare) One of the front steady arms has broken (I have the part to repair it but again have lost interest due to the scare). The last pic shows where he damp has crept in following the blowout damage, it could be easily fixed for short to medium term use with some silicon sealer and a couple of self-tappers though I probably won’t find time to do this.
