Abi ace ambassador 1985 model. A four birth ( double and two
single bed ) caravan. The caravan (affectionately named Gilbert) has been a fantastic
first caravan. He’s been to many festivals and camping trips over the last few years,
and he always gets noticed. He is a single axle lightweight fella that tows
very well even with a small car. We have
upgraded now so time to let someone else enjoy Gilbert. In preparation he has
had a total renovation. He has been
resealed and then decorated. All new removable cushion covers, curtains, blinds,
floor recovered and repainted on the inside and out. Gilbert comes with a full
awning, with ground sheet and wheel skirt. However, we never used this so not
sure of the condition.
Cooking and heating is excellent. he has a gas twin hob, separate gas grill and
oven, Electrolux fridge freezer. The sink has running water and a separate drainer.
Also in the colder months the gas heater. Really comes in handy. They All work
very well.
The bathroom is equipped with a drop-down sink and taps. Hand
held shower head, mirror and built in shower tray. We however put a chem toilet
in there for ease and used the campsite showers as they are free and less
hassle.
We upgraded some of the internal lights to LED but kept the
ceiling, kitchen and bathroom lights the old florescent as it seemed a shame to
get rid of these.
We have fitted and will leave the wall hung TV. This works
